Overall all 3 of my ideas have scope and potential to used as major project. However, all 3 ideas are about teaching and improving someone's game so that they can play better. Therefore what if we merge all 3 ideas into a single idea. This means I can take aspects of each initial thought and create a more focused product. I am excited about building a device/ product around this area because it is my passion and I will enjoy going into more depth about it. Now I need to grasp an idea of what the product will look like and how it will work.

To help me narrow down my idea further, I was advised to create a SWOT chart to help with this discovery phase.

What is a SWOT anaylsis?

SWOT is a formula that stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. It's a method that helps you create a growth strategy as well as evaluating your product/ idea.

A SWOT analysis lets you understand your products strengths and weaknesses, identify the opportunities and threats you are facing, and gauge your position in the market place. From there, you’ll map your path towards your goals and create an effective strategy plan. It is important to do something like this as it gives you a better edge over your competitors by understanding where your strengths are and gaps you may encounter.

Above is an example of a SWOT diagram I found online conducted for Unilever, a UK-based multinational manufacturer of consumer goods. From this you can see what the company does well and what it needs to do better to grow. I will apply the same logic to my own idea asking these questions:

Strengths

Is it efficient?

Good market size?

Strong understanding of the subject?

Accessibility?

Weakness

Is it Expensive?

Technology limitations?

What is the need for it?
